Why Give

At Tufts, opportunity has gone hand in hand with excellence. The generosity of alumni, parents, and friends increasingly has enabled many highly qualified students to attend Tufts, not based on ability to pay, but on ability, pure and simple.

But work remains to be done to achieve the goal of ensuring that no highly qualified applicants are turned away because their need exceeds the university's resources.

Hence, a university-wide financial aid initiative that not only matches scholarship gifts, but also closes the affordability gap for those who need it most. Find out more about the Financial Aid Initiative that runs through June 30, 2016.

With your own gift of financial aid, you will be directly helping talented and deserving students achieve their dreams of furthering their education.

While there are no "typical" financial aid students at Tufts, all share this in common: they contribute at least as much to the life of the university as they receive.
