Tufts Student Fund 2009
The Tufts Student Fund was the university's first student-driven giving initiative for all undergraduates. Supported by the Tufts Fund for Arts, Sciences & Engineering, the program invited students to contribute to financial aid for a fellow Jumbo. Twenty percent of the student body participated, and students engaged in lively debate about the role of philanthropy in higher education. Combined with a generous match from alumni donors, the students raised more than $27,000 for a scholarship that will be awarded to a returning student this fall.
