When I first arrived at Tufts, I wasn't sure what to get involved with – it was pretty overwhelming having so many options. In the first week of school, I saw an advertisement for student Senate and decided to show up to the general interest meeting. The room was packed, and it was really intimidating. However, I realized I didn't have anything to lose and decided to run. Being involved with student government has ended up being one of my favorite activities, and I am so glad I chose to stay with it. Other opportunities also exist in so many different forms here at Tufts. I've been able to work with psychology research teams, participate in Institute for Global Leadership's EPIIC colloquium, join Synaptic Scholars, and travel to Nigeria, which have been the most interesting and mind-opening opportunities I didn't dream I would experience when I first arrived at Tufts. I've been able to follow my passions because of what "Tufts is.”
